Time to meet: 830 - 9pm. Cannot remember what was the agreed time.
Place to meet: Bus stop outside prime supermarket at bishan.
Plan: Go for a meal at 1 of the kopitiam and head to play xbox/board games. Bring watever u would like to entertain urselves along. Some one mentioned red wine?

Just some thoughts to share!

How to survive in LIFE!
hmmm... How we learn in lifer?
1) We learn from our own mistakes(experience) and we will remember it always!
2) We learn from other people mistakes(other who share experience with u).
3) We learn during our school days! hmm... maybe alot of us didnt learn any useful stuff during our education, but think back... did u really not learn anything?

trying to share with u all some stuff i learnt from school. and it can also applied to working life!
that is, EXPECTATION!
1) You must have high expectation of urself!
2) BUT in front of your superior! give them a lesser expectation of how they feel about u!
3) THEN u will not need to work so hard, and when u reach the "less expectation" of how they expect about u and maybe over their expectation... they will feel u are performing... then in a long run! u will get promotion quicker! and get more bonus during the appraisal period!

Nice strategy? hmmm, i think next time just be humble... silent is golden.. .innocent is bliss!

AMKians or Bishan-ians ?

Last night after having dinner @ J8, my bf and I took Bus. No 55 home.

It was pretty long queue.

When the bus came, my bf and I saw this couple who were working class people, cut-queue from the side. Despite there was still 20 people queuing up (of course, I'm still in the queue ! ), they dared to do such ungraceful and unethical move.

When we boarded the bus, we saw this couple found a comfortable seat together.
FINE! We managed to find too .... SO WHAT ???

FYI, usually I will alight at the next bus stop after Sze Gay's hse, which is about the 4th bus stop from the interchange.

The most intriguing part, this couple also alight same bus stop as me!

My bf and I were like diao-ing the couple, shame of them !

My bf then said ... "must be staying in AMK!"

"Shit u lah, AMKians not soooo bad one hor!"

We saw them walking into bishan park .....

"Bishan-ians hor .......!"

"Maybe they are not staying here, just go bishan park stroll-stroll!"

* No offence to Bishan-ians *. Just a fighting part between my bf and I.

Lesson to learnt: Want to cut queue also wait till left about 5 or 6 people
then u cut queue mah, chances of getting less people to diao u also.

Ok, shall update something abt me ... well, basically nothing to update ..... haha..

To begin,

let me share something about the Birthday Party I had last Sunday. The birthday boy was my boyfriend's nephew, Leonard, his 2nd birthday. Think none of us will remember how we celebrate our 2nd birthday and what presents we received ......

The birthday party started off with dinner @ Toa Payoh Lorong 8, we had the famous fish-head curry. Well, definitely not the birthday kid foot the bill, his parents did. Then we head back to my bf's place for the birthday cake.

As everyone complaining too full after the sumptuous dinner, we decided to let our digestive system to rest for awhile. To kill the time, they decided to watch the movie "881". Obviously I am not interested in this movie because most of their conversations I did not understand, had a difficult time understanding the humour. So after 10 mins, I decided to play with Leonard, chasing after him.

Anyway, cut the story short, let me show u what pressies nowadays kids received on their birthday ...

Nov is a pretty busy period for those working and studying i think...y?
those studying are busy rushing assignments and for the exams, those working will try to work extra hard cos it's apprasial time!!!! haha...
was passing by SMU on the way home a few days ago and wow, there are still stud in the sch. oh,it was a sat nite and they are actually studying???
well, i do miss the time in the god-for-saken campus studying with my study group. althought exams hunts us, we're still having fun...really miss it
BUT, i'm glad that there aren't any paper now for me. can enjoy my wkend,my PH and can get more sleep. hee hee.
however, work life can be summarised as follows, every morn wake up, go to work, wait for lunch, return to work, wait for time to go off. yeah, everyday is like that. mon blues, looking forward to wkends, to holidays, to year end (cos of bonus)...

LY celebrated her Birthday last Saturday @ Summerdale Condo. Location: Boon Lay. Time: Evening

We had a great time BBQing and feasting, as though we are celebrating Hari Raya.

Ling Ying had a great time saboing her "shi nian peng you".. all of us except HS and SR are thrown into the pool by ppl we dunno (ah seng's friends).

Great, is the mid of the week, Wednesday!

Well, few things to be excited about:
1. First time blogging here (not considered the “list down your discount cards!” post)
2. We’ll have a BBQ this week since after so many yrs. Can someone tell me when the last time was?
3. It’s Hari Raya Puasa this coming sat too …. Though doesn’t concern the coffee clubbers very much, haha. However, I was granted one day off in-lieu. Wahahahahah, something to be happy, isn’t it?
4. Pay day coming soon ….. well, undoubtedly I am broke now.
5. Today is my pak-tor day, nothing special, just happen is today because is Wednesday!

Oh ya … I tried Auto car last night, gosh, AWESOME, is just like a toy car (as quoted by Sze Gay). During my lesson, I am still thinking of my clutch, gears and biting point cos my left leg was idling, so uncomfy without moving it. BUT I still think support in learning manual car, it makes my mind working during the lesson, though I am clumsy at times.

Woooo....Counting down to 5th Oct 07!!!! My last day at work in Hitachi. I wonder how much will my life change after that. Will I be able to adapt to it? UpdateS!!!

Hi Friends! Let me update on what i had been up to for pass one week. It was a busy week and stressful week at work, i hope i will not be like zhiyi, work until fall sick. However, there were also fun stuff. I went Sentosa with my cousins last Sunday. As a souvenir, i give myself some blue black while playing beach volleyball. Anyway, everyone knows that having blue black is not UNcommon when you are talking about this clumsy lingying!

What is the craziest things you ever see in office? i guess not much people can beat the people in my office. One of my managers was away on a business trip, and will be back on Monday. As a surprise for him, my colleagues spent one hundred dollar for him, to remind him that that are huge among of unfinished work in office that he needs to clear. Take a look at the present below!

Finally, i end my week with the most meaningful coffee gathering. Shuyi surprise me with a stack of newspaper cutting. If u to measure the thickness of the stack, i think it is about 3-4cm thick. we are suppose to fold hearts and singtel will donate 1 dollar for every heart we fold.

Oh, we counted the total number of heartZ: 164!!!

5 days trip to Hanoi

this will be a looooooong post. let me recap on what i have done for 5 days out of SG
Day 1 - arrive in hanoi
Arrived in hanoi for team building. Main idea of team building is to buy stuff to dress up according to the theme of the group one is allocated in. Costumes and props purchased will be used at the dinner.

Since everyone is supposed to dress up. ME TOO. since i'm short and just recently cut my hair shorter. I'm supposed to be a tribal boy.

Me started to have fever upon arrival in hanoi. and it was WARM there. 32 degrees. dinner wasnt to my liking since it was viet food all the way. beef spring roll that is too beef, sharks fin soup without sharks fin, honey dew sago with only coconut milk taste. YUCKS.
After dinner, i called it a day and went back room to rest to heal the fever.

Day 2 - halong bay, laocai
depart at ard 9am (SG time) to Halong. journey took ard 3 hours to reach halong bay by car. that's the place where one can see all the small islands of all shapes and sizes that viet has. climbed up a boat for a tour around all the small islands. went into a cave to see the limestone scruptures and had lunch on board the boat. i was still feeling feverish and did not eat much. just had a lot of prawns (cos they were dumped onto my plate) and some veg and a crab.
after lunch, back to hanoi and head towards laocai by overnight train. the train was magnificent, it was like a mini hotel. i was expecting those china china type with 4 hard kok kok beds and a bumpy ride. but this train was GOOD. the sheets and pillows look clean. at least i managed to sleep 3/4 of the journey.

Day 3 - sapa, catcat
arrived in sapa a small ethnic town. there are all sorts of tribal stuff available. costumes, bags handicrafts in the marketplace. went for a short trekking trip for ard 2 hrs in the morn at catcat village. i was bending my head low to mind my steps most of the time. y? cos those are usually stone steps or mud roads. i dun want to slip and fall flat on my face. villagers always ask the same qn to tourist, "buy something from me?" although i do have cashie, but i find no use for the stuff they sell. in the end, bought nothing. ha.
after the trekking, had a massage at the hotel. i think it was quite ok. since this is the 1st time i did a body massage. although a bit itchy when they do the abds area. haha.
more shopping follows after the massage. but it started to rain and forceful winds began to come while we're in the town area. gosh. went into a cafe for a hot chocolate drink. the irony is that, admist the strong winds and a drop in temperature, they decided to sit in the outdoors area of the cafe. meaning, we're still exposed to the chilly wind and i was shivering in the wind. gosh. i still think it was crazy but ahem, it turned out ok in the end lah.

Day 4 - trekking to miniority villages
tadaaaaaaa, bought small gifts

can guess wat it is? closer look at all of them...

regarding which design one will get is FCFS (first come first serve). although when i first choose it, i have choosen it with the colour in mind.haha
it was the same trekking to different parts of the villages, everwhere tourist goes, locals follows and some try to sell stuff while some just walk along with us. halway thru the trekking i discovered that my pair of shoes are giving way, the side soles are coming off. praying hard that it would last me thru the trip, i followed the group during the trekking silently. on the way back, i dropped into mud. in the end, i left my pair of sports shoes in vietnam. bye bye to it. haha
since we have to go back to hanoi for day departure, we had to take a overnight train. just that this time, the train is in super bad condition. lizard's dropping, used tissue at the top of the deck. since there was still time, we decided to play cards for first half of the journey. i was the first to be knocked out. the first to be declaring for bed. the train was BUMPY during the whole journey and although i was lying down, i felt nausea in the middle of the nite. bleh bleh.

Day 5 - back to hanoi for departure
it was shopping and more shopping for the others. for me, i just can't seem to find anything useful. in the end, bought nothing.haha
headed to the airport next to check in for the flight. and it was time to fly home.

wow. didn't realise there are ppl who missed me soooo much. (or is it my present?) yes, i bought a small gift for everyone. frm the tribe ppl. hahaha. nothing fanciful to set u all thinking.

the trip to vietnam is quite tough. streets are infested with motorbikes with non working traffic or street lights. moutain areas are filled with tribal ppl but modern technology. can see satellitedishes to get cable tv frm the moutain areas. shiok.

i did not bring camera along. (the above photo is taken with my phone) but colleagues did. so need to wait for the photos to be out. taken quite a lot. so, till then. tired. me gotta rest and prepare for work tml.

Wanna start business?

hey i think previous years ago... someone suggested that we start ur business with Alex as our financial support. Remember? ya, so i think without him, we can also start our business. Since we can come together and blog, why not think of something to make this blog an earning blog too?

how to start about earning money? I think we should try to think of something. We can consider something like the following...
1) creating blogskins for others
2) solve problems for others
3) helping poly students to do tutorials, projects, etc...
4) designing website
etc etc, maybe we can think of something that we are interested and we can earn money together!

**we treat this as a side line of earning money and not our main job.

Hey hey!!! I agree wif ah ying!! haha..photos photos photos!!! Where are our so called compiled photos?!?!??!?! Maybe we shld also haf an online photo album???hahaha... ok la... maybe we should reallie go for a photos shoot. Anyone got any good lobang? If dont take now, I think its a must to take one when all of us grad lehz..hee...It will be soooo cool la... ok la...Eerm...why not like that la... all of us post our childhood photo or baby photo? hee...ok la..i start the ball rolling first. Nah....

Our blog is filled with WORDSSssss... so boring, I couldn't concentrate reading on after the fifth post. Shall we add some photos? let's go for a photo taking session soon so that our blog would look more exciting! How about adding those photos taken during our last Korean food outing during Alex's cum Huishan's Bday celebration?

Now that Huishan is be gone for a week or so, my office hours will be less fun, less one person to chit chat with. HUISHAN HUISHAN HUISHAN come back soon! DO REMEMBER OUR PRESENTS TOO!!! heeheee... (JOKING)

Oh, one more update, I am addicted to sudoku recently. GOTO www.websudoku.com and print out the hard or evil sudoku, give it a try and you may me addicted like me! I was playing it one friday morning during my breakfast, and guess WHAT!!!!???!!!! I forget the time and was late for work for 30min. When I reached office, my "shifu" commented, "first time I reach office earlier than you!" But in my mind, "stupid me, late because of a set of numbers from 0-9"
